I am using Adobe Acrobat DC Version 2022.002.20212 on Windows 11 Build 25211.1001
When I open any PDF and attempt to enter text into a text field or sign, the entire program freezes. Moving the window results in multiple copies of the same window overlapping each other, completely unresponsive. It does this with every PDF I've tried, including ones that work fine on other PCs. I have updated acrobat to the latest version available to me.

In Windows 11 by performing these steps solves the problem.
I tested with pdf files and they works fine now.
Please try to turn off the protected mode for testing (Win Only). Go to Edit > Preferences > Enhanced Security > Uncheck 'Enable Protected mode at startup' Turn off the Protected mode and uncheck 'Enhanced Security' > Click OK and reboot the computer once.

Do you have any third party additions to your program plug-ins or JavaScripts?
Do you have any anti virus or other software running?

I am having the same problem, in Adobe Acrobat Reader 2022.003.20282. The program is working fine, until I click into a form field I want to fill. Then the window freezes. I can interact with other UI elements, like the top menu bar, left and right panes, but the area with the PDF itself is totally unresponsive. I should also metion, that the PDF is digitally signed, and has signature fields for other digital signatures. Unfortutately I am unable to share the PDF file.

I should also mention that this happens with multiple PDFs (all I have tried). I am using Windows 11 insider dev build 25252.1000.

Do the forms have a lot of fields and /or JavaSCript that could cause any problems, thinking specifically about calculate scripts.
If you know how to use the JavaScript console, you could try running this command before you interact with the form.
(to run in the console, you copy this code into the console, highlight it, and press enter on the numpad)
This will turn off any calcuation javascripts.

The file contains only about 7 fields. However, one of them is "duplicated" - when I write my name into one field, it also appears in another field at the end of the document.
I did what you suggested (hopefully correctly, see screenshot), but it did not help. After executing the command, I clicked into the form and it froze. I tried to see if the PDF file contains any javascript, and it seems like it does not (I opened it in a text editor and searched for JavaScript, with no results, as suggested here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/15706730/how-do-you-view-the-javascript-embedded-in-a-pdf )

Then I think it may be computer specific, if you can share one of the files I can test it on my machines and see if there is a problem?

I am not able to share the file, as it is a contract, and I am not sure if I can share it. So I tried to create a very simple PDF form (see attachement, created on https://www.docfly.com/), and it also causes this issue. So the problem very probably is computer-specific, on my other machine with Win10 it works with no problem. I am unable to test on other systems.
Now I have a new Win11 insider dev build 25262.1000, and the issue is here too. Could you (or anyone else) test it on an insider windows build, and on an official release, to narrow down the problem? The OP also seems to mention an insider build.

I have the same issue. As soon as I click a form field, it locks. Any form. I'm running Windows 11 as well. If I open a form in Chrome, I can fill it out with no issues

We are sorry to hear that. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive, please download it to your computer locally and then try again and check.
Would you mind sharing the sample PDF file so we can check it on our end. Also, a small video recording of the steps and the issue would be very helpful.
Please try to turn off the protected mode for testing (Win Only). Go to Edit > Preferences > Enhanced Security > Uncheck 'Enable Protected mode at startup' Turn off the Protected mode and uncheck 'Enhanced Security' > Click OK and reboot the computer once.
Note: Please turn on the security after testing to avoid any security risk.
You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows and try using the application there and check.
